Already we are half way through the academic year. Many of the more exciting aspects of the school year are still to come. The Year 11 options evening is one event that stands out. This is very important and I do hope that the current Year 11 students attend so that they can see for themselves the great variety of opportunities and subjects on offer in the Consortium Sixth Form. We also have the School production of 'Grease' taking place at the end of March. I am sure this will prove to be very entertaining!
The GCSE examinations beginning in mid May, also the Record of Achievement ceremony takes place on the 15th of May, this is something I particularly look forward to every year as Year 11 mature from pupils into young adults. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage Year 11 to now begin to plan for some really hard work and revision. It is clear that proper preparation combined with confidence and hard work will always produce success. It is now time for Year 11 to prepare properly for the final chapter of Key Stage 4.
I wish you every success.
